The school I would like would have a swimming pool.
I'd have one for the first and second years and also for the third and fourth years. The playgrounds would be separate, one for the young children and the other for the senior forms. A wall would be separating them and there would be a door from one playground to the other.
The classrooms would have carpets instead of lino. The desks would be painted and the chairs would have cushions. The chairs would also be painted.
There would be a computer for every table in the classroom. There would be at least 12 videos for each classroom. The hall would be very big, about 40 metres long and 30 metres wide.
The lessons would be interesting. There would be lots of French and German and English.
There would be four floors at the school. There would be a lift to take us up. The staffroom would be much bigger than the one we have now.
It would be light and cosy. There would also be a big library. There would be a lot of instruments: flutes, guitars, drums, etc.
The school meals would have different food every day. There would be lots of visits to concerts and parks.
The tests would be easier for children.
I love my school
I study at the best school in the world. Each pupil of our lyceum thinks so. Here is an atmosphere of friendship and understanding, so I go to school with pleasure.
Firstly, each lesson in our lyceum is a mini-performance: different presentations, interesting experiments, exciting teachers’ stories and pupils’ discussions. For such lessons we should thank our teachers - the fairest, kindest, cleverest and most sociable people. Secondly, don’t think that we have only classes. Different events take place before, after and during the classes: concerts in connection with different holidays, children’s parties, sport competitions, Olympiads, contests, etc. Even during the usual break the senior students play gaily with the junior students! Each class has its own “bank account” where money is given for good affairs: for the help to the library, for good studying, for keeping the school clean….. At the end of the school year the best classes get sweets and biscuits at the smart Holiday of the School Honour.
I would also like to tell about the friendship of the children from different classes. The students of our lyceum always help each other in spite of their age difference. If you lose something, you should tell about it to the Council of Senior students and your lost thing will be found without doubt, because only honest and responsible students study at our school. One day I was convinced in it myself. A girl from the fifth was sitting on the bench and crying. A group of senior students ran up to her and began to calm the girl tenderly and even gave her a cake. Later the teachers phrased these students.
If you look at my school, you can think: “A typical school! There are millions of such schools everywhere.” No, my school is the best in the world and it has a proud name – Lyceum!
MY HOLIDAYS
Winter holidays
I think summer is the best season of all because it is warm, the nature is beautiful and we have great opportunities for rest. Summer is a time of holidays. We can go anywhere, spend our time near a river or a lake on fresh, green grass, swim in warm water, or climb mountains, play different games, ride a bicycle and so on.
I spend my summer holidays at my granny’s. There are many things there to do. What I did most of the time - I swam in the sea and sunbathed. Sometimes I made a fire with my friends at the seaside and cooked potatoes there. It was wonderful. We told anecdotes to each other, and did everything we wanted. I also got used to walk alone in the forest.
When August was coming to its end, I went on a small voyage by ship. The ship name was “Sevastopol”.
But this summer wasn’t for me only sugar and honey. I have passed through the graduating exams after school and entering exams in the university. So the bigger part of my summer vacations I spent sitting with the books. Of course, it was not interesting, but I’m glad that I did it because now I’m a student of the best university in our country.
