Story 1. My name is Greeny.
The lessons are over. The last teacher takes the key and locks the door. Nobody is here, only me. Well, let's see… Green Country School of English. Hmm, I like English very much. Oh, what's this? This is a mirror. It's big and round. When I look in the mirror I can see myself. I look nice. I've got two big eyes they are green. My ears are small and my lips are red. I have white teeth and a small nose. My face is funny when I smile. I've got a short neck and my long legs. And my feet are big. Also I've got two little hands with fingers. I can see ten fingers in the mirror and they all are mine. Now you know what I look like. Oh, I forgot about my hair. I've got very beautiful hair. You think it's blond? No, it isn't. And it isn't brown. It is not even black. Well, I will tell you the color of my hair - it's green. That's why my name is Greeny. I'm a bogy. Bogies come to houses and help people who live there. But I don't like small houses, I like to learn English and I like this school. I want to live here, help pupils and teachers. Let's be friends!
Story 2. I know magic words!
My favourite season is spring. I like flowers and birds… But now it's autumn. And it's rainy. I am wearing a red sweater and blue jeans. And I need an umbrella. Oh, almost forgot! I know the magic words for seasons. I want spring, so… Tummer-Pummer-Bummer-Summer! Oh, they are for summer. Now it's so hot! I take off my sweater and jeans. I don't need my umbrella. I put on a green T-shirt and yellow shorts. On my feet I put blue sandals. It's better now. But I want spring! Let's try again… Binter-Finter-Dinter-Winter! No, wrong again! It's winter now. It's too cold and snowy. I want to put on my green coat and black trousers. And I have orange socks and green boots on my feet. I put a brown hat on my head. Also I am wearing a long brown scarf. Ok, I'm warm now. But I reeeally want spring… Let's try one more time. Ring-Bing-Ding-SPRING! Yeah! It's spring now! So, I will wear my blue jeans and green jacket. I also put on my favourite orange shoes. Great! Oh, and what's this? It's a cowboy hat! I want to put it on my head. Look, I am a cowboy now. I like cowboys and I like spring!
Story 3. What a mess!
I get up in the morning and I want to do something interesting today. I like reading, so I want to take an English book from the library, get a cup of hot tea and enjoy reading… I get out of my bed and what can I see? There is a total mess in all the classrooms! Well, I should clean and tidy up! There are many pens and pencils on the desks. I need to put them into the pencil box. There are books on the chairs and note books under the chairs. I take them and put on the bookshelf. I can see a ruler under the table and many crayons and markers in the corridor. I collect them and put into the pencil box. There is a sharpener and a rubber on the floor. I put them in a drawer. There are paper clips on the floor and there are scissors on the table. I collect all the paper clips, take the scissors and put them in the drawer. I notice many pictures and words on the whiteboard. So, I clean the whiteboard. There is a computer on the windowsill. I put the computer into the cupboard. Ok, everything is clean and tidy. Now I can read a book and drink my tea. And you, children, don't forget to clean up after the lessons!
Story 4. I'm hungry!
It's lunchtime and I'm hungry. So, I go to wash my hands and then I will eat.
Let's see what I have got in my kitchen. Well, there are some plates and cups. And I have got a glass, a knife, a spoon and a fork.
What about food? No, I haven't got any food. But it's not a problem I know the magic words for food. What would I like to eat? Some soup and bread? No, I don't like soup. Maybe a pizza? That sounds nice. I can have a pizza with cheese, tomatoes and meat. Rizza-Bizza-Pizza! I've got a pizza now. Oh, it's too big I can't eat one big pizza alone. Maybe I can eat a sandwich with fish or sausage? No, I don't want a sandwich. I know - chicken and spaghetti. Fried chicken is delicious and I really like spaghetti. Netti-Betti-Spaghetti! Oh, that's too much for lunch and I can't eat that much. What about fruit? Let's try. Tana-Mana-Banana! Now I have got a banana. Yummy-yummy. It's yellow and tasty, but I am still hungry. Leips-Meips-Grapes! Wow! I've got grapes. Oh, they are sour and I don't like them. Well, then Daple-Maple-Apple! Well, it's a big red and sweet apple. I like it. Good. Now I'm full but thirsty. What do I want to drink? Dea-Nea-Tea! I've got a cup of tea. Oh no, my tea is too hot and I can't drink it. I will try again. Foos-Boos-Juice! Now I've got a glass of orange juice. I drink it it's sour but very tasty. I think I like fruits and orange juice the most. And what do you like to eat?
Story 5. Why I am hiding
Everybody goes home and the school is empty now. I can clean up. Let's see the hall. Oh, it's tidy here all the books are on the book shelves and all the pens are in the pencil boxes. When I stand in front of the cupboard I hear a strange noise. What is it? “Greeeny, Greeenyyyy…” somebody is calling my name. Oh, no! It's a teacher and she wants to find me. So, I run and hide behind the paper box. But the teacher comes to the hall and stands in front of the paper box. What can I do now? If someone sees me I will lose my magic. That's why I always hide from people. Maybe my magic can help me now. Teeny-Beeny-Greeny! And I disappear. Now I am not behind the paper box, I am under the table and there is a dust bin next to me. But the teacher comes closer to the table. It's like hide-and-seek. Magic words again and I am in the cupboard between the books. The teacher now looks at the cupboard and can't see me I am not there I hide behind the plant and then under the chair. Ha-ha-ha! The teacher sits down on this chair and I need to hide again. Now I am in the drawer and there is a pen next to me. I take it and write a note to the teacher: “Please, don't try to find me because I can lose my magic if you see me.” I put the note on the table and quickly hide behind the door. She reads my note and says:”Sorry, Greeny. I didn't know” She promises that teachers and children will never look for me again.
Story 6. My new friend
During winter holidays Green Country School is empty: no lessons, no children and no teachers. And I feel lonely here. But there are many flats in this building. I want to go and see who lives there. So, I go upstairs and say my magic words to get into the flat. Oh, it is very nice inside. I see the room there is a sofa and a TV set. But suddenly I notice that there is someone behind the TV. I want to hide, but I hear “Hello, who are you?” I turn around and see… a bogy girl! She smiles and says:
"My name is Pinky. And what is your name?"
"Greeny," I answer.
I look at her she is slim and young, she is wearing a blue T-shirt and an orange skirt. And her hair is curly and pink, that's why her name is Pinky. And my hair is green that's why I am Greeny. We see that and we laugh.
Pinky tells me that she lives in this flat and helps the family. She is very kind and funny.
"Pinky, do you know magic?" I ask.
"A little” she says. “Binky-Winky-Pinky!” And she gives me a small green apple. I take it and I can see her face in it.
“It's a magic apple and I have the same one. You can look at it and talk to me”.
“Thank you very much, Pinky!” -I say,
“It's time for me to go home. Let's be friends!”
“Ok” she answers.
“See you tomorrow!”
And I go back to my school. I am not lonely now I have a friend and a magic apple!
Story 7. Pinky's flat
I get up in the morning and look at the magic apple. “Hi, Pinky, can you hear me?” I ask. “Hi, Greeny!” I see her face in the apple, - “I am cleaning the flat. Will you help me?” she asks. “Yes” and I appear in her flat. “But at first I will show you all the rooms” says Pinky. “This is a living room” and I see a big room with a sofa, lamp and TV set. We go to the next room the bedroom, there is a bed and some photos on the walls. “If you look out of the window, you will see the yard with the garden” and I look out of the window. “And here is a dining room, the family has dinner or breakfast here” Pinky shows me a room with a big round table, many chairs and a fireplace. It is very beautiful. Then she shows me a bathroom with a big mirror and a bath tub. “Look, Greeny. This is our kitchen mummy cooks here” I see a small kitchen with a fridge. “This flat is very nice” I say. Pinky smiles and whispers “I will tell you a secret”. She opens the last door and we see the stairs. “These are the stairs to the roof” she tells me. We go upstairs and I see a big attic with boxes and old tables. Sometimes Pinky hides there. “Wow, it's so interesting! Will you come to my place next time?” She nods her head and says “See you!”, I say “Bye!” and we disappear.
