I know three types of prevention. They are primary, secondary and tertiary prevention.

2.What is the difference between the primary and secondary prevention

Primary prevention involves those measures which prevent the onset of the disease. Secondary prevention

involves measures on early disease and repairing damages while they are minimal.

3.What is the prevention of dental caries

The prevention of dental caries five general strategies good oral hygiene, proper diet, fluoride, sealants and

antibacterial therapy.

4.Why is removing of plaque important

Certain types of plaque appear to be associated with initiation of dental caries, others with formation of calculus

and still others with certain inflammation responses.

5.What preventive measures do you know

I know such preventive measures which toothbrushing, flossing and mouthwashing.

Floss is most useful in cleaning the interproximal areas of the teeth from the contact point down to the sulcus.

8.Why is fluoride water useful for teeth?

Fluoride can make the teeth, particularly the enamel, more resistant to the acid that helps cause cavities.

9.How can diet influence the teeth?

All simple sugars have the same effect on the teeth, including table sugar, the sugar in honey, fruits and milk.

Drinking tea or coffee without sugar also can help people avoid cavities.

Smooth surface decay, the most preventable and reversible type which grows the slowest. Smooth surface

decay  begins as a white spot.

Pit and fissures decay, which usually starts during the teen years in the permanent teeth is formed in the narrow grooves on the chewing surface.

Its process when dental pulp becomes inflamed.

14. How long does it take cavity to penetrate the enamel in case of root decay?

Cavity may take 2 or 3 years to penetrate the enamel.

15. What may toothaches result from?

Tooth aches may result from roots that are exposed but not decayed, excessively forceful chewing or fractured tooth.

16. When does usually pain start?

The pain starts when the decay reaches the dentine.

17. What is the treatment of caries?

When caries reaches the enamel we can use simple preventive measures. When caries reaches the dentine, the

decayed part of the tooth must be removed and replaced with restoration. When caries reaches the pulp, the

only way is to remove pulp by root canal treatment or tooth extraction.

Gingivitis is inflammation of the gums

19. What are the causes of gingivitis?

The causes of gingivitis are vitamin deficiency, plaque, inadequate brushing, flossing and some drugs.

20. What are the types and symptoms of gingivitis?

The types of gingivitis are 1) simple gingivitis, 2) herpetic gingivostomatitis, 3) gingivitis of pregnancy

4) desquamative gingivitis, 5) gingivitis of leukemia

The symptoms are swollen gums, bright red, bleeding gums.

21. What is the treatment of gingivitis?

The treatment of gingivitis use tartar-control toothpaste, vitamin C deficiency, hormone therapy, prescribe

tablets or paste.

22. What is periodontitis?

Periodontitis occurs when gingivitis extends to the supporting structure of the tooth.

23. Why a periodontal disease dangerous?

Periodontal disease is the process which can lead to tooth loss.

Behavioral methods means that dentists have always use psychology to help their patient. Talking, some

extra time, and allowing brief rest periods after discomfort are all approaches with long histories.  

29. What are indications and contraindications for the use of anesthesia?

General anesthesia is used to decline pain during dental treatment. Contraindications to use of general

anesthesia lie almost exclusively in the nature and severity of patients medical risk factors.

There are 6 periods in AIDS flow the first is infection with the virus, the second is incubation period, the third is acute AIDS, the fourth is the latent period, the fifth is pre AIDS, the sixth is AIDS itself.

The ways AIDS virus gets into human body are the following it can come with infected blood or blood preparations, sexual way, through placenta, milk and delivery water.

36.What dental disorders are associated with AIDS

There is a classification of oral lesion associated with HIV infection candidiasis, hairy leukoplakia, Kaposi’s sarcoma periodontal diseases necrotizing gingivitis and ulcerative periodontitis.  

37.What procedures shouldn’t an infected dentists perform

The infected dentist shouldn’t be involved into invasive procedures surgical procedures, extraction of teeth, cutting or removal of any oral or perioral tissues, during which bleeding may occur.

38.What measures of prevention of this disease do you know

The most well-know prevention measures for dentists are the comprehensive wearing of surgical gloves, facial masks and of course condoms
