Belarusian weather
From my point of view the weather plays an important role in people’s life, because it often changes and influences people’s plans and it even changes the way they feel and think.
Speaking about our county the climate in Belarus is moderately [] continental with enough rain on the whole territory. The breathing of the Baltic Sea is always felt in our country. The seasons considerably [] differ from each other and it gives us an opportunity to enjoy different types of weather.
Our winter is famous for its cold days. It snows, the wind blusters [ ] and there is often a blizzard [] or a snowstorm. Thus if a foreigner comes to Belarus in winter, it’ll be better to take warm clothes. For e.g.: a pair of jeans and a sweater. Our winters are also known for clear days when the sky is crystal-blue, the sun shines and snow glitters in sun rays. Such weather is perfect to enjoy winter entertainments like skating, skiing, playing snow balls or making snow man.
Springs in Belarus are rather cool, there is always a light breeze and the worst thing is slush on the roads, which disappear only in the middle of April. It’s better to wear a pair of boots with a low heel. The weather in the end of April and May, however [], is wonderful; everything is in blossom, the sun shines in the cloudless sky. It is time of love, hope and happiness.
Our summers are rather warm. It is not too hot; the temperature is 20- 22 degrees above zero. Everyone can enjoy sunny days when it’s possible to get a suntan. Thus if you visit our country in summer you will need light summer clothes.
Autumns in Belarus are remarkable, especially the Indian summer, when the sky is crystal- blue during the day and starry at night, when all the trees are golden, the air is clear and it is still warm. The end of September and October are known for their pouring rains. It rains almost every day and sometimes it is just a little drizzle but you get wet.
We decide what clothes to wear, what places to visit and which things to take according to the weather forecast. That's why our climate is an ever-interesting topic of discussion.
