Brief Description of Why You Would Like to Hold a Practice CACTUS
|

Your Responsibilities:
- Gain approval from school / other venue to host Practice CACTUS.
- Practice CACTUS should be held on a Saturday to allow for travel time to and from your site for other PCVs and CACTUS staff.
- Call other PCV’s or Active Ukrainians to be Practice CACTUS counselors.
- Advertise to local students and pupils to attend Practice CACTUS.
- The best way to do this is to ask Counterpart -> then ask Director -> Director asks regional English Methodologist to call schools to pick students to come to Practice CACTUS.
- Remember this is ALL in ENGLISH, so students should have a higher English level.
- All participants should be 15 – 18 years old.
- If there is an exceptional student younger than 14 you’d like to invite, discuss situation with CACTUS staff.
- Provide housing for PCV’s and CACTUS staff if necessary.
- Access to projectors for Practice CACTUS lessons (ideally 3 or 4).

CACTUS Staff Responsibilities
- Hold Pre-Practice CACTUS meeting night before to review how the day will work.
- Provide all lesson plans, power points, and lesson plan materials.
- Provide all pens, markers, paper, pencils and school supplies.
- Troubleshoot any problems that arise before or during Practice CACTUS.
- Hold Post-Practice CACTUS meeting to conduct evaluations of how the event went.

By signing this application you and your PCV helpers agree to:
- To meet all of your previously stated responsibilities on page 1 of this application.
- To follow all directions set up by CACTUS Staff during Practice CACTUS.
- UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A 100% ALCOHOL FREE EVENT. THIS INCLUDES THE NIGHT BEFORE AND DAY OF THE EVENT. (After the event finishes is fine =) ).
If these expectations are not met CACTUS Staff reserves the right:
- To dismiss you from the event.
- Not consider you for future CACTUS events.
- Not consider your students for CACTUS Summer Camp.
