About Myself
My name is Boris. My surname is Pavlov. I was born on October 22nd, 1992. My hometown is Revda. I finished secondary school in 2009. This summer I successfully passed examination for General Certificate of Education. I took an optional course in (physics, chemistry, English, etc.)
I applied to the Urals Institute of Communication and Computer Engineering. I was admitted. Now I am a first-year student of the Faculty of Telecommunication.
I am taking a course of an engineer (a Baccalaurean) in Fiber Optics Physics and Technology (Radio Communication, Radio and Television Broadcasting, Communication with Mobile Objects, Audio and Visual Technology, Multi Channel Telecommunication Systems, Communication Networks and Commutation Systems, Radio Appliances, Software Development, Computer Hardware).
Now I live in Yekaterinburg. I stay in a dormitory. There are 4 students in our room. (I live with my parents. I stay with my relatives. I rent a flat. I share it with my friend.) The room is not very large but convenient. We have a TV and a computer.
We have lectures and practical classes 5 days a week. We study the following subjects: mathematics (linear algebra, math analysis, and discrete mathematics), physics, history, English, physical training, computer engineering, fundamentals of electric circuits and special subjects.
Usually we have 4 or 5 couples of hours. Classes begin at 8.30 in the morning and are over at 5 p.m. We have two semesters a year. At the end of each semester we take our tests and exams. Generally we take 4 exams and 5 tests.
I eat my lunch at the canteen during a lunch hour. After classes I go for a walk or to the cinema with my friends (play sports, go to the theater, museums, go camping, skiing, skating, etc.).
Our family is not large. We are four my parents my brother (sister) and me. My father is in business, he is in construction (engineering, railway, metallurgy, etc.). My mother works as an economist at the factory. (My mother doesnt work, she is a homemaker). My brother is 3 years younger than me. He studies at school. (My sister is much older; she has a family of her own. She has a little baby my nephew (niece). We are very friendly. We enjoy being together watching TV, going to the cinema, skiing, skating, camping, etc.).

The UTICCS is a unique, developing academic-research center training specialists for the industries of telecommunication, radio engineering and economics.
The history of the Institute goes back to 1930, when in Sverdlovsk they founded the Technical College of Communication to train technicians in radio engineering and telephony. In 1992 the College started training junior engineers for the network industry.
In 1997 the College joined the Siberian State University of Communication and Computer Science as the Urals branch of the University. In 2002 the Urals Branch of the Siberian University of Communication and Computer Science was transformed into the Urals Technical Institute of Communication and Computer Science. For 74 years of operation the institution has trained over 30,000 specialists of secondary and higher learning for the industry of communication and radio engineering of the Urals Region.
At present, the Institute provides secondary technical training as well as multilevel higher education of specialists with Bachelors and Masters degrees and Engineers.
