Hobby.( Music in our life).
There are a lot of interesting pastimes people choose to occupy themselves in their free time:
coin or stamp collecting, playing musical instruments, listening to music, reading, drawing,
gardening, sewing, collecting books or pictures, travelling etc. People usually choose a hobby according to their taste. As tastes differ, hobbies differ as well.
Our hobbies depend on our character, way of thinking and our interests.
As for me I think that music is the most interesting, exciting and involving hobby.
Music is very impotant in our life. Music is that we can't do without.
Music accompanies us from our early childhood till the end of our life.
The first thing we hear, when we are still babies is a gentle lullaby which is sung by our mother.
Therefore we can't think of a day without music. Music is everywhere: at home, in a concert hall,
in park, at the seaside, at the discotheque, of course, and even in the forest. Just listen to birds singing, gentle whispering of the foliage of trees and other natural sounds and enjoy yourself.
I suppose that music appeared on the Earth along with the man, after the first man had learned
to listen to the natural sounds and then tried to reproduce these sounds in some way.
Nowadays people cannot live without music. They listen to music, they dance to music,
they learn to play musical instruments.
As for me, I've got/didn't get any musical education at the musical school in Ust- Kamenogorsk,
where I learnt to play the piano (The violin, etc).
I tnink (that) musical education is very impotant, because people who can play some musical instruments feel at ease in any society and can give pleasure to other people, and moreover they understand music better.
There is special literature for music teachers and for all the people who are interested in music,
there are also special radio and TV programmes for those who love music. My favourite TV programme, for example, is Programme A (or 50 to 50, or music contects etc.), because I like
both classical and modern music, and thrash music.
But role of music in the lives of different people is different, of course, because some people
compose music, others play music and others only listen to music.
I'm not a professional musician (yet), but I think I may be considered partly a musician and partly
a listener. A lot of people who cannot play any musical instruments love to listen to music either at home or at a concert. They listen to classical and modern music, to folk and rock music, to popular and disco music. Everybody chooses the music to his taste. Our tastes differ greatly!
Some young people as far as I know do not think they can listen to classical and folk music and
enjoy it. They consider symphonies to be very difficult to understand. To my mind this idea is
wrong. In fact classical music is popular. My favorite composer is ...
Symphony orchestras are very popular in our country and abroad. We've got a number of talented musicians and composers in Kazakhstan. They are popular not only at home but abroad as well.
Many of our national folk ensembles, choir musicians and orchestras go to other countries and
give performances there. Some of them are a great success.
Music art in Kazakhstan is rather rich, we have a lot of music-halls, music is played over the radio
and TV, and there are music schools in every town or city and even in some villages.
Music enriches our imagination and our soul. It sometimes helps us in different life situated or entertains us when we are/feel bored. That's why I'm convinced that music is the best hobby
we/you can choose.
