Ryan Giggs has always been a good at football. He is one of Manchester United's best players. He also plays for Wales. Ryan earns money for playing football but the game is his main passion too.
Ryan was born on 29th November 1973 in Cardiff, in Wales. When he was seven, his family moved to England and he joined a youth football club. The coach was very impressed with his football skills, so he phoned Manchester City Football Club and told them about Ryan. Ryan joined Manchester City's junior team, where he played until he was 14.
During his time with Manchester City, the manager of Manchester United heard about the young football player and asked him to join the club. He was very happy that Ryan agreed to join his team, because Manchester City and Manchester United are rivals. When he was 17, Ryan became a professional football player, The team has won many prizes while Ryan has been with them.
Ryan was only 17 when he first played for Wales. He was the youngest footballer ever to play for this team. He has now been playing international football for 12 years. He has also been captain of the Welsh team.
