Events of the end of the 20th century influenced on the development of modern Belarus and European Union and on the development of their relations. Dialog between Belaruss and EU promised to be fruitfull at the beginning of the 90th. But since the middle of 90th situation began to change for the worse. These is not surprising: the parties were and still involved into global processes, hudge influence of stereotype of “block thinking” that we inherited from the previous period. Both of this conditions has a great impact on a dialog between Belarus and EU.
They hawe lots of unresolved issues. But all of them can be reduced to one- the issue of influence on the post Soviet countries. Belarus borders from one side with EU and from the other with Russia. That puts it on the “fault line”.
The relevance of my qualification work is caused by many reasons. First, as neighbors Belarus and European Union have common history and culture. Besides, most part of belorussian business community is focused on Europe. In these circumstances its necessary to develop trade and economic contacts. Despite the fact that Belorussian government and EU have differences of opinion on the political situation in Belarus, the issue will always be current.
The reference list is rather impressive. I have used the information from the official internet sites of the European Union, Belorussian government and Belorussian presiden. I examined monographs of Russian, Belorussian and European researches on the sdudied issue. I also read various publications in periodicals, documents, reports of organizations, working groups and so on.
The qualification work consists of the introduction, three chapters, the conclusion and the reference list.
Introduction opens relevance, defines the purposes and research problems, opens the theoretical and practical importance of work. Chapter 1 describes Belarussian-European relationa since 1994 till 2001. Chapter 2 describes a current state of these relations, the period from 2001 to 2013. Chapter 3 describes the prospects of the Belorussian-European relation on the basis of the studied researches. Conclusion sums up the research.
In conclusion it should be pointed out that development of Belorussian and European Union relation is possible. Despite the fact that there are many controversial issues between Belarus an Europ, there is need to develop their interaction. In a view of modern realities development of the Belarusian-European relations seems possible within EurAsEC. Main goals of EurAsEC are democratic principles of community, the multi-polar world where the EurAsEC - will act as "bridge" between Europe and Asia. And due to the location Belarus becomes the loco of integration of EurAsEC in the European Union.
